There are over 500 English translations of the Bible; so, if you are trying to figure out which one you should use... well, it can be a bit challenging. In this episode we explore what versions are the best, which ones you should avoid, and which ones you might be most comfortable reading.
Is it 66 books or 73 books? If you pick up a Catholic Bible you might notice that it includes some extra books after the book of Malachi...so what are those all about and why aren't they in the Protestant Bible?
We tend to prefer bumper sticker and coffee mug verses in our Christian walk, but that has led to taking many verses out of context. The Bible is not a collection of spiritual platitudes that we get to use for our own reasons.
